Outcomes

  1. Reflect critically on the ways in which contemporary leadership theory and research, and the strategic need of the sector, informs leadership practices for planting, expansion, and extension of schools;
  2. Explain the importance of strategically identifying and managing stakeholder skills, inventories, needs and expectations as an educational leader in Christian schools;
  3. Assess the role of educational policies, procedures, and management information systems for strategically planting, expansion, and extension of schools;
  4. Formulate and defend a vision for planting and/or extending and/or an expansion of schools, with the appropriate supporting education business plan;
  5. Critically argue how educational leaders can develop high-performance, innovative, responsive organisational forms of Christian integrity, through serving others while involved in extension and expansion of schools.

  • Understanding the roles and responsibilities of faith-based school principals and leaders: opportunities for planting, development, extension, and expansion of schools
  • Going somewhere: Visionary entrepreneurship for development
  • Compliance for planting, expansion, and extensions of schools: educational policies, procedures, and management information systems, and their stakeholders
  • Developing an education business plan, including faith-based mission and vision, risk assessment, marketing, student enrolment, and revenue streams for development
  • Keeping a heart of service while leading and developing an extended or new school community.
  • Fellowship and collaboration: working with educational stakeholders for planting, extension, and expansion of schools; Case studies
  • Engaging with your community: community governance and balancing sector strategy and individual community strategic needs; Case studies
  • Identifying and developing your team in the context of planting, extension, and expansion of schools; Case studies
